Stopping his attack inches away before his opponent used Sonido, Shadow immediately turned around and ducked under the slash all while aiming a low slash to his enemy's legs.

Ragecano turned his hand, so that the tip of the sword was facing downwards. Then, with one sudden motion, he thrusted the sword down, literally to stab the oncoming reaper.

Shadow retreated out of his position via Shadow Meld, and reappeared a few feet away. He then leaped toward his opponent, attempting to make a diagonal downward slash and brought the weapon down to the opposite side of his sword arm to make the second sword slash connect.

Ragecano held out his arm to take the damage, but not before making a horizontal slash at the Reaper's legs, to literally cut into them, to restrict movement. If a fly can't move, it can't fight.

A bit surprised seeing the risk his opponent took, Shadow tried to dodge but failed as the blades cut into his legs. He squinted in pain a bit, but he managed to move out of the way enough to avoid a very deep and serious cut. Again shrugging off the feeling of pain, Shadow was still able to stand, waiting for his opponent's next move.

"What will it take for you to go down?" Ragecano muttered.

Shadow quietly sighed as he gripped the handle of his weapon. "I don't give up that easily... Ever."

"I guess I'll just have to shatter you then."

Shadow again used Shadow Meld to reappear behind his opponent. With his sword arm raised, he spun his weapon vertically to his front right, striking at an angle to the enemy's right backside.

As the blade began to run down his back, the Dragon took a Sonido-propelled step to open six feet of distance between the two. He examined the cut by looking at the blood. Not too deep, good thing. Nikolai continued to stand there.

After seeing the dragon retreat a distance from a shallow cut, Shadow used Ghost Stab and jabbed his blade into the ground, erecting it from the shadow under the opponent's foot.

Ragecano jumped up as soon as the cold tip pierced his shoe, but there was a shallow cut.

With two of his attacks, even being shallow ones, cutting into his enemy's legs, the dragon's speed should be a lot slower than before. Shadow used Demon Cutter and fired several crescent waves toward his enemy as he jumped into the air.

The Dragon quickly charged up a Cero to negate the waves, and immediately fired it. Nikolai stood there, watching.

As the Cero came toward him, Shadow once again twirled his blades to cut down the attack.

The Cero collided with the blades, dissipating it like exhaust fume. All the while it was doing that, Ragecano, using a slowed-down Sonido made a horizontal slash at the Reaper's arm. He needed to take out that attack source, and fast.

While Nikolai was standing there, a small yet strangely powerful force collided with his body, nearly falling the other Reaper. The "force" was five feet, and eight inches tall, and had a childlike frame about him. Nikolai turned around to see one figure, and another appearing from his sword. The boy had navy blue hair and was four years junior to Nikolai; the other figure stood at five foot ten, with pink hair and a "Screw you, I'll wear whatever I want, when I want" outfit. It was one of the Zanpakuto spirits that embodied Malachi's sword.

As Shadow spun his blades in front of him and dissipating the Cero, he transferred his weapon to his other hand. Sensing his opponent trying to strike him, Shadow immediately turned around and grabbed the enemy's katana with his free hand, which cut into his palm but stopped the swinging motion. In retaliation, he sliced his pair of blades into the arm that held the katana.

Ragecano executed a jab to the stomach all the while getting his arm cut into by the swords.

Shadow let out a small grunt as he fell back from the finger jab, releasing the katana. He collided with the floor and Shadow Melded, but not before throwing his blades into his opponent's stomach.

Ragecano took another slowed down Sonido step, narrowly avoiding the blades as they shaved some of the fabric off of his shirt. He stood on the edge of the rooftop, blood staining his white collared shirt, and the sword he wielded.

In the meantime, Nikolai, Malachi, and the Healer paid no attention to what was going on, except when the Healer looked over the elder reaper's shoulder to see an Animalian and Reaper fighting. "Should I heal those two? They seem really-" Nikolai interjected. "Hell no. Shadow's perfectly capable of beating this man. I highly doubt he'll lose."

Shadow reappeared in his thrown blade's trajectory, catching it, breathing heavily for a moment. Controlling it, he quietly reanalyzed the battlefield: while Shadow's palm and legs were cut and his stomach jabbed, his opponents legs and arm were also slashed as well. Readying himself again, Shadow used the shadow in the ground to reappear in front of his enemy, firing Demon Cutter crescent waves. He then slipped back into the ground and reappeared to the side, firing more Demon Cutters from that area. Shadow constantly alternated between the two locations to attack.

Right when the reaper was about to fire the second wave of slices, Ragecano took six slowed down Sonido steps, purposefully falling off of the rooftop, and onto the wall, where he broke in a window to conceal himself while he thought of a strategy.

In the meantime, Nikolai was talking of something. "How the hell did you follow me to the Moon Academy?" he said. "I'm a master of disguise, aren't I?" Malachi replied. A deep voice came out of the Zanpakuto. "Who the hell is he?"

Shadow stopped as he saw his opponent leap off the rooftop. Peering overhead, he could see his opponent entering one of the windows, hopefully into an empty room. Letting out a soft sigh, he melded his body into the shadows, hiding into his little 'pocket dimension' and waited for the dragon animalian to reappear.

Ragecano thought for a second. "I can't get him into a corner as long as there are those shadows."

Shadow closed his eyes and quietly waited in the dark.
